High power Grizzlies easily handle Stags

The Newport Grizzlies broke open a tight game with the Deer Park Stags with a barrage of 3-pointers to close out the first half and left no doubt about the outcome with a 14-0 run to open the second half.
The offensive onslaught secured a 65-35 win for the Grizzlies, who improved their Northeast A League record to 7-2 and 11-4 overall. Deer Park fell to 4-5, 6-6.
Koa Pancho keyed the long-range shooting display in the first half with a pair of 3-pointers. Teammate Danny Bradbury took over in the second half with a pair of baskets and a 3-pointer of his own as the Grizzlies build a 45-20 lead midway through the third quarter.
Pancho led all scorers with 23 points while Bradbury added 20 more. Isaac Berglund led the Stags with 13 points.
Deer Park travels to Medical Lake 7:30 p.m. today for another NE-A encounter.
