The Deer Park girls basketball team jumped out to an 18-0 lead and never looked back in the Lady Stags' 55-12 non-league win over the Springdale Lady Chargers last night.
Leading 26-4 at halftime, Deer Park head coach KC Ahrens relied on his bench in the second half as the Lady Stags steadily extended their lead over the final two stanzas.
Point guard Havelah Fairbanks, using her patent slashing style, led the Lady Stags with 16 points. Taylor Lyons, who hit a quartet of 3-pointers, paced the Deer Park outside game with 13 points.
Naomi Turner led the Lady Chargers with five points.
