Chattaroy man injured in four-car accident

A 72-year-old Chattaroy man was injured in a four-vehicle accident on State Highway 27 near Rockford on Aug. 14.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Elliette Clark, 18, Valleyford, was southbound on SR27 when she stopped to make a left turn onto Jackson Road her vehicle, a 2005 Jeep Cherokee was rear ended by 2004 Nissan Frontier driven by Jerry D. Cone, 76, of Princeton, Wash.
The impact pushed Clark’s car into the northbound lane where it was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Willie J. Hicks, 72 of Chattaroy and then by a 2002 Cadillac Deville driven by James H. Weatherly, 82, of Tekoa.
Cone was transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. Clark, Hicks and Weatherly were all treated at the scene.
Cone was charged with following too close.
