Colville outlast Deer Park in volleyball marathon

The Colville Indians outlasted the Deer Park Lady Stags 22-25, 25-22, 25-23, 12-25, 15-12 in their Northeast A League opener yesterday.
The Indians improved to 3-0 overall on the young season while the Lady Stags dropped to 1-1 in league play and 1-2 overall.
Deer Park’s Paige Thomson and Colville’s Brooke Sturzer were equally dominant at the net. Thomson led the Lady Stags with 16 kills while Stutzer contributed 19 kills to the Colville attack.
Deer Park setter Allison Feist chipped in with 28 assists while her Colville counterpart, Kiley Power, added a game-high 30 assists.
The Lady Stags travel to Lakeside for a 6:30 p.m. match on Friday. The Indians have an away encounter with Riverside at the same time.
