Daylight Standard Time arrives on Sunday

Staff Writer

Area residents are reminded that Daylight Savings Time comes to an end at 2 a.m. on Sunday.
Earlier this year the Legislature passed legislation that would make Daylight Savings Time a year-round event. The measure was signed by Gov. Jay Inslee but it still needs Congressional approval before it becomes law.
Fire district officials also ask that homeowners use the time to check batteries in all smoke alarms and carbon monoxide monitors the make sure they remain in working order.
