The Deer Park girls soccer team, paced to two goals apiece from Olivia Moore and Sydney Gracelynn Martinson easily defeat Riverside 7-0 yesterday.
The game, the season opener for both schools, was called at the 64-minute mark after a thunder storm rolled through the area.
Martinson opened the scoring in the opening minutes of the first half. It was followed by a goal by Carson Allen and another by Martinson as the Lady Stags built a 5-0 lead.
Deer Park scored twice more in the second half on goals by Moore and Issy Strugarevic before impending lightning strikes prematurely ended the game.
