According to the Washington State Patrol, Frank J. Ascolese, 71, of Loon Lake, was westbound in a 2011 Subaru Outback on Half Moon Road when he apparently ran a stop sign and was struck by a northbound 2010 Subaru Forester on the highway driven by Fiona K. Dearing-Hill, 21, of Deer Park.
Ascolese and his passenger, Anita Ascolese, 70, along with Hill-Dearing and her passenger, Kathryn A. Hill, 81, were all taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. All of them were wearing seat belts.
