Lakeside Eagles have too much firepower for Riverside volleyball

The Riverside Lady Rams put up a fight, but the Lakeside Eagles had too much firepower as they scored a 25-13, 25-16, 25-15 win in Northeast A League volleyball action yesterday.
The win improved Lakeside’s league and overall record to 3-0, 3-0. Riverside fell to 0-3, 0-3.
Lakeside, which held a definite height advantage, had an answer every time Riverside made a charge.
Junior outside hitter Alexis Schmautz led the Eagle attack with 14 kills and three aces. The Eagles’ 6-foot-2 junior Mia Smith anchored the defensive end with four blocks.
The Lady Ram attack was led by Livvie Stime and Livvie Winkle who both registered five kills during the match.
