Mead women killed in U.S. 2 accident

A 49-year-old Mead woman was killed and two others injured in a two-car accident on U.S. Highway 2 and Eloika Lake Road on Tuesday evening.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Tammy Scott was northbound on U.S. 2 in a 1995 Honda Civic in snowy conditions when she lost control of her vehicle and skidded into the southbound lane where she was struck by a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Robert S. Plasterer, 58, of Elk.
Scott was pronounced dead at the scene. Plasterer and a passenger is his vehicle, Charles I. Todd, 60, of Elk, were not injured.
