Deer Park's Amy Selanders became the First Lady Stag golfer to qualify for the second round of the state golf tournament since 2014.
The sophomore shot a 100 over the Horn Rapids Golf Course in Richland yesterday in the Class 1A/2B/1B tournament to make the field of 36 for today's second round. The last Lady Stag golfer to accomplish the feat was Kaitlyn Frost three years ago.
Selanders's teammate, Karissa Bostic, failed to make the cut after shooting a 104 yesterday.
On the boys' slide at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco, Deer Park, Ethan Shroyer shot an 89 and Mikal Palmer shot a 103 in the boys Class 1A tournament. Unfortunately for the pair, the cut line was 85.
