Three injured in U.S. 395 crash near Loon Lake

Three people were injured in a two-car head-on collision on U.S Highway 395 just north of Loon Lake on March 18,
According to the Washington State Patrol, Tom J. Evje, 35, of Kettle Falls, was southbound in a 2002 Dodge Neon on the highway near milepost 194 when he crossed the centerline and struck a 1997 Honda CRV driven by Daniel J. Phillips, 57, of Curlew.
Evje, Phillips and a passenger in Phillips’ car, Trina C. Delaney, 44, of Curlew, were all transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. Another passenger in Phillips' car, whose name was not released, was not injured.
Charges are pending as the WSP determines whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident.
