According to the WSP, Ryan J. Carpentier, 25, from Airway Heights, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu north on the highway at around 5 p.m. when he rear-ended a 1993 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Jeromey R. Austin, 46, from Colbert.
